This service is very often required in remote area operations where the supply chain lead time is long, complicated or unreliable. Based on the state of fleet readiness required, we can advise on appropriate spares and stock levels at the site. We can also arrange standby call off arrangements with the manufacturers or spares suppliers of key equipment and machinery items and also with freight forwarders familiar with the region. This includes understanding any requirements for appropriate customs documentation and clearance, import duty compliance and foreign exchange control regimes.

We endeavour to ensure there is a balance between the amount of a companies capital retained in spares stock and the state of readiness of the fleet. It is all too common that at the end of the remote area operation the total spares still in stock have much too high a value compared to the fleet worth. It is difficult to recover these funds through post completion re-sale.
